Critical Success!
MKP brought the world of Dungeons and Dragons to life!
She Kills Monsters (SKM) debuted in February of 2026, launching The Fellowship Theater's new season with laughter, excitement, and a whole lot of heart! SKM featured an expansive repertoire of amazing costumes and puppetry; which included bringing classic D&D monsters like bugbears, kobolds, beholders, and gelatinous cubes to life! Two stunning casts of performers, each with their own unique interpretation of the SKM script, thrilled audiences and encouraged repeated viewings, and we are so proud of their work and this team's accomplishment.

“Here in Utah, our communities are often led by tradition and comfort but when you go to the theater you have a special opportunity to listen, to laugh and sometimes step outside that comfort zone. She Kills Monsters invites us to reconsider how we view “outsiders.” Gamers, queer teens, misfits, and anyone who’s ever felt unseen takes center stage here—not as stereotypes, but as heroes. Tilly’s story reminds us that being different is not something to be explained away or apologized for; it’s something to be honored. The monsters Agnes battles are not just demons and dragons, but guilt, regret, fear, and the pain of missed opportunities. This production embraces both the fun and the heartbreak of growing up, of losing someone too soon, and of learning—sometimes too late—to listen more closely. It’s a love letter to siblings, to chosen families, and to the worlds we create to make sense of who we are. Thank you to my forged family and my amazing wife, and thank you to everyone here for supporting community theater. Roll for initiative! ” - Note from the director, James Naylor

She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, an average woman who loses her parents and little sister, Tilly, in a car accident. Having been very distant from her sister while she was alive, Agnes embarks on an adventure to get to know her sister better by playing a Dungeons & Dragons module that Tilly had written, and discovers things she'd never imagined. The narrative expertly weaves between reality in the 1990s and in the imaginary game world created by Tilly.
